The founders of Northward Real Estate have over thirty-five combined years experience in commercial real estate. John McMillan, President, has twenty plus years experience in the commercial real estate business. He started in leasing and sales with the Gerald Hines Interests where he became Vice President of the Hines Industrial Division in Houston, Texas. He leased or sold over 3,000,000 square feet in various properties. He later served as president of Campbell McMillan Development before moving to Atlanta in 1988. John and his wife, Mary formed Northward Real Estate in 1989 to focus on helping clients to acquire office buildings, office warehouse buildings and commercial land. John has been a licensed broker in Georgia since 1987. John grew up in Atlanta, attended the University of Georgia where he received a BBA Degree in Real Estate and an MBA in Management.

John McMillan serves at North Point Community Church , former Chairman of the Alpharetta First United Methodist Church Board of Trustees, Member and former Board Member of the Alpharetta Rotary Club, member of Quality Growth 2000 as well as the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce.

Mary McMillan, co-founder, has over eighteen years of experience in commercial real estate, property management, and accounting. She shares the day to day operations of the company.
